randy should grab that for the engine and part the rest out

He is OldIron here on the board. Nice guy and honest. He was going to rebuild it for his kid the high gas prices this summer scared him off. I have see this thing and its pretty solid.

Hey guys,

Yeah this is mine. I know it is a little steep and I plan on continuing the build but ultimately want to build a 66 - 77 Bronco (I know blasphemy) so with the limited time I have I would prefer it be spent on my ultimate project. Not really looking to sell it out right, and actually had someone offer cash (of an unknown amount ;)) but passed. The body and frame are solid on this and the only way I want to part with it is if I can find the Bronco project. If I can not find a Bronco in as good a condition I will continue on this one. The price was included as a reference for a trade only.

Thanks for the feedback.

What is your price range? I know where this one is sitting, two owners, around 60K orig, iirc. Nice truck. PM me for more info. Last I knew, the owner was selling it around 5K. 302 3 speed, as clean as they come up here.

I wish I had the cash for it, but do not. Tried to trade her the chopper and some cash for it, but she loves her BMW bikes.

She has no interest in a cruiser, unfortunately. Cash only.

That is a damn nice Bronco!!

It is as clean as it looks. I could not find any real rust anywhere. It has been in storage since the 80's. Really nice truck. I just talked to her, and she would like to get $5K minimum. No less. She is a car nut (SCCA race driver) and knows what it is, just has no time for it. Her dad gave it to her in the 80's after selling hers. She never got to it.

And you back off.....you'll just hock it for beer money.

SHe even has the hubcaps. THe pics are not great, cell phone pics. It is more of a mint green color.

It does have one dent in the other fender where she hit it with something in storage.

Can you pm me some detail? Unfortunately the market for everything is way down so I probably could not sell the crusier to make the difference in what I need to buy that, just the unfortunate truth, but I would like to go see it if it is fairly local. As I had said, right now the funds require a trade, but there is nothing like seeing them up close and personal to change that.

Original color is called lime green, nice rig. She is a great person as well, just got back from looking at it. She does know her stuff too!

So with that said, I will be selling my project to raise cash to fund this. If you guys know anyone who is looking I would appreciate any help, and give me some guidance to what it is really worth. I hate the idea of parting it since it is in really good shape (top is marginal), but it is all apart. It is titled out of California.

Honestly you're better off putting the parts on eBay to get $$$ quickly. You'll never get good money for it if it's in boxes

NICE. Glad you are getting into it.

She is a trip, is she not? Awesome person.

If I were a better wrench, I would force her back into scca racing (which would not take much), and help pit.

Glad to hear it is going to a good home. The biggest reason I did not find a way into it is that I know I would just butcher it, which is the last thing it needs.

You could part it here and make your cash. It is all apart, right?

It's all apart going to start putting some photos together.

As for racing, you just might want to touch base with her after the email I got not 10 minutes ago. Me and my buddy who went to look at it today got the tour, she needs to write a book!

If I didn't have a cruiser I'd have a Bronco or an old Willy's wagon

Well gentlemen, no real solid interest in this. Just posted it back up on CL in three states. Thought I was going to have luck actually out of RI (Thanks Jason) but the guy was a lot of talk but a no show. I am going to give it one more week or so, then I really need to decide if I want to park it or part it. I do not have to sell it now to fund the Bronco but I do need the space so she will be going outside. I may just continue to putter on it and put it together and possibly look at going back to a all Toyota drive train, or finding a complete Carb'd SBC set up with a clutch.
