Cracked my head

I've been posting my thread in the FJ40 section of the forum, but figured I'd post here too.

I've been working on replacing the head gasket of my '77 2F in my '72 FJ40. All was going well and then found out that I needed a complete head job. Ok, I can handle that. Dropped the head off Monday and then got a call from the machine shop today. Yea, it's done I thought! Well, not really...just calling to let you know that your head has three cracks!!! That really sucks!! I asked him about repairing it and he said he wouldn't and that he couldn't guarantee that the repair would hold. So, I need to find a new head to fit a '77 2F. I think '76-'80 will fit. Anyone have one lying around the garage that they need to get rid of? And yes, I've also posted in the classifieds.

check the for sale forum here in the NC section, Mdemglio has two blocks and a head that would work for you. It's actually a 1971 Head if I recall correctly.

Oh, when i saw this title, I thought you busted your head (as in your noggin) doing something cruiser-related like I did wheeling in Texas in '06

So why did we take photos? I had the EMT training, but had no idea how bad it was, so I had the wife take a few pictures in macro mode on the camera so I could assess my head wound..

Yeah, it took a few staples. (6 IIRC)

OUCH!!! That looks painfull. Thanksfully, thats not what happened to me!
