I have one large crack on my dash, right over the speedometer. Have any of you tried that SOR plastic cover that can be glued on to cover the dash? any other suggestions besides live with it?

Cracks in plastic can be welded to look good as new. I've never tried it myself, just read about it in an autobody repair book. One just uses a heat gun to melt the plastic crack together and then sand paper to finish it...
I've put on dozens of the sor covers. Pull the dash off, cut out the high spots with a razor knife, scotch brite inside the new cover and outside the old dash, install cover according to instructions, wrap the entire thing in 2" packing tape to hold the cover in place. Throw on the shelf for 24 hours to dry, cut off the tape, you're good as new. One banana.
