Crazy, it was facing backward into our company fence as I went by yesterday with doors open at 5:15 am, and a black sedan parked just ahead of it. It was to dark for my comfort to check out right away, so I unlocked the gates and cruised the 50 acres with high beams, parked at the office, and waited till enough light and took a looky in the golf cart.
When I made it to the fence corner, there were 2 green and white BP trucks checking things out.
Long story short, the truck was still running, both it and the sedan (which had doors open also) were registered in Mesa and not reported as stolen. BP called PCSO (pima county sheriffs office) because they cant inpound if not stolen.
First deputy mentioned (off the record), "this truck is technically parked on your property, if you want to file for an abandoned title".."These guys will just write it off as a loss, it will get towed, impounded, and sold at auction, your call".
BP agent also piped in about "most" of these runners don't retaliate,
that was enough for me to say I'm willing to spend some of my tax dollars to take it away.
