1994 Toyota Pickup DLX 22re 4x4
About 223k on the odometer with a fully remanufactured 22re longblock engine from Sunwest automotive in Oregon. The new engine has approximately 15,000 miles on it. Please see screenshot in the photos for details on the rebuild. The replacement engine was built with their “supreme” build specs. Engine was installed by Bearden automotive in Austin, TX.
I love this truck, but a recent move and new job mean that I am in need of something more practical for commuting. It spent the majority of its life in the PNW before making its way down to the Texas hill country, where I purchased it from the previous owner. It has essentially no rust on the body or frame and about a week after moving it to the coast I had it undercoated to preserve it as long as possible from the salt and sand. There is some superficial rust on some of the steering components, the driveshaft, and various fasteners.
Since I have owned it, all service and parts have been completed with OE factory Toyota parts, when available. I have hard copy records for most of the purchases I have made. Here is a brief record of maintenance/service that has taken place since 2020, besides routine oil changes etc:
05/20 @ 200k - rear axle shafts, rebuilt rear brake cylinders, new rear brake shoes and drums, new rear wheel bearings
07/20 @ 201k - A/C installed, steering stabilizer
08/20 @ 202k - Front driver wheel bearing, driver side CV axle, rebuilt slave cylinder, driver side upper and lower ball joints, idler arm
09/22 @ 203k - motor mounts
11/21 @ 204k - drivers side pitman arm, front passenger wheel bearing, passenger CV axle, pass. upper and lower ball joints, new drive shaft, engine rebuild started
07/22 @ 208k - I purchased the truck.
08/22 @ 212k - sway bar links
09/22 @ 213k - engine oil, transfer case oil, transmission fluid, front and rear diff. fluid, brake fluid, new Aisin clutch, new rear main seal
10/22 @ 214k - air filter, throttle position sensor, throttle body gasket, idle adjustment screw o-ring, battery bracket
11/22 @ 215k - inner/outer tie rods (Moog), wheel alignment, power steering flushed, belts adjusted, radiator flushed, new rad cap, new thermostat
12/22 @ 216k - new tires: 31” Cooper Discoverer AT3s, rims sand blasted and powder coated
01/23 @ 218k - valve adjustment, new cable cover grommets
02/23 @ 218k - starter solenoid rebuilt (new contacts), new fuel filter, new exhaust downpipe
04/23 @ 222k - all drive belts replaced
Comes with a box of spare parts and a factory service manual. Located in Corpus Christi, TX. Asking $16k obo.
