So I'm now at 180, 805km and rotated them about three weeks ago and now have a little over 12,000km on the tires.
They are noticably louder now they are rotated and sometimes its annoying running against a concrete divider at highways speed as the noise bounces back. I had one of them rebalanced after I tried rotating and things were vibrating all over the place. It took 10 ounces of weight, which is more than the average 3 ounces per tire on the other three. The shop that installed them for me originally put it on the rear.
However, they got it right the second time. I should think a half pound of weight should be close eh?
However, they just did two days of great trail. Took them up the Whipsaw. I ran 22lbs and then 20lbs on the second day as I wanted lots of grip for Falcon Hill. They absorbed bumps well and I ran slower on the obstacles than I did the previous year as these tires grip better than the MTZ's. They cleared mud well, as the huge descent into Coalmount had four inch deep mud on the roadway for over 10km and it was greasy and slidely with no room for error.
They also climbed mud slicked granite boulders well, pulling me up a wet verticle rock shelf the height of the tire.
Here's a pic of them baggged at 20 psi.
I was cross axled in this shot and I have a 3 inch lift. They just kiss the side of the tub and a little undercoat will be needed to replace what rubbed off. The do not touch the the top of the fender well or foul the guards
Over all I am super impressed with their ability so far.
Cheers,
John
