Can anyone tell me what type of coolant is reccomended for my 87 BJ-73 3B? Right now it has dark red in it. I thought it was supposed to be green coolant? I'm going to flush it and want to do it right. Thanks...

Toyota coolant is red. Generally, I believe the rule is to stick with whatever is in the truck, i.e. if it's green, replace with green. If it's red, replace with red. Anyway, no harm in sticking with good old Toyota Red, available at your dealer.

Any coolant will do. Most green stuff you buy on the shelf will mix with red. "Diesel" coolant is only required for wet sleeved engines which Toyota's are not so don't waste your money.
