In the process of removing the timing gear cover to change the gasket, i removed the power steering pulley bracket to get access to the cover. One of the two bolts on the upper end of the bracket came out with the stud it is attached to. I also then got a coolant leak (about a drop every two seconds) that had not been there prior to the job. The leak seems to start in the area of the stud hole, but I cannot see the hole.

I am not sure if it is coming from the water pump weep hole, or the stud hole for the pulley bracket. I don't think it is the pump, but am not sure. Is it possible that the whole left by the stud runs into a coolant flow path in the block? The pump has not been leaking a drop until this point.

I don't want to replace the pump if I don't need to, but if it is leaking would like to take care of it while everything is apart. I am going to replace the radiator this week as well...

It is a 90 FJ62, 198K.
