Just an idea for who that has coolant leak with their 80. Mine coolant was reduced for quite a bit in a few months, then reservoir pratially empty. So I thought my head gasket it gone, start cursing sing I have no garage to do it myself!! check around, found out the rear heater metal/copper tube below the passenger seat (outside the cab) was so corroded that it actually crack and leak, it wasn't that bad til I messed with the tube, then all of a sudden it start dripping!! Thank god is not head gasket I have about 133k on mine, running strong so far. But replacing that thing is pain in the butt!! the one that leak goes all the way up to the engine compartment, right behind the cylinder head. No way I can replace with without moving the engine to accomodate for extra space. So ended up by pass the rear heater hose, no rear heater for now, do not need it anyway since I am in Texas, just me and my girl and my Golden. Guess my goldie would not appreciate all that heat :flipoff2: But would love to replace it since I bought the part already and wanna make sure my cruiser is perfect. Any of you did the replacement on this before??
