Convertible FJ in Ouray this weekend?

Hi!
I'm hearing of a rumor that Toyota will be in Ouray this weekend, at that FJ Summit, and will be showing the factory prototype of the convertible FJ Cruiser.

Has anyone else heard this, and will any of you be there? There's no way I can get that far this weekend, and we'd really like some photos.

Not a chance there is a "factory prototype convertible" FJC.

Yes, the FJCS 4 is this weekend in Ouray CO. Yes, Toyota has a TRD display planned on being there as well as a "high ranking" Toyota representative (Mr. Akio Nishimura - Chief Engineer FJ Cruiser, Tacoma, and 4Runner from Toyota Japan). The FJC is being prepared to be offered in Aus and other countries that are right hand drive but making it into a convertible is left for fabricators...

The neat thing about rumors is that sometimes they're true. If it was common knowledge, then it wouldn't be a very exciting piece of news, would it?

I'm not just making stuff up -there's a reason I'm asking. If I could be there to take photos myself, I'd never say a single word. But I can't, so I'm trying a different route.

If anyone is going, let me know please. I'll send you my email. You may be able to sell me a photo. What have you got to lose?

Pics would be up by now since the event started yesterday and continued today. More salient rumor of note would be...will there be an '11 model year in the US? Maybe they are saving then big reveal until Sat night...

I have saw a lot of nice Fjs in Telluride today but no convertibles. BUT I was not part of the summit so I did not see all of them. I will keep my eyes open and have my camera, If I see one I will post it.

hi im currnently on deplyment in baghdad , and i have seen 4 fjc running around i seen a blue 2 tans and a green , and i got to check out the blu close up it had right had drive 5 speed , and the silver bumber things that get knocked off on the trail wer crome on this one , thought that was cool im gonna try to get a pic of one for yall

Wow, Santa Fe heading north towards I25 about 2 miles south of Hampden right? Right by the Lightrail stop for Sheridan. I live close and worked right by there for a while. Pretty cool!

Funnu just saw this.. Lots of folks drive to our meeting from HR and farther.. shoot up C470 and it will only take you 20/30 minutes.
