Control Panel / Nav Head Unit is not loading properly. Black Screen only.

Hi Guys,

I have acquired a Toyota Land Cruiser 2013 VXTD Diesel last March 2013 European version.. recently my radio / control panel / nav head unit is not functioning.. just a black screen after loading... No GPS, no Radio, No touch screen, just some flickering on the screen. Please Help, I cannot control anything on the head unit. Does anyone knows a good fix or specialist here in the Philippines that can provide some help... I tried bringing it to the CASA in Toyota Shaw, but to my dismay no one knows what to do, they are incapable of fixing the problem on my Nav head unit..

Looking forward to hearing the advise of this communities expertise...

1. Does the truck have warranty? If so, why don't you take it to Toyota? If they cannot fix it its their problem not yours.
2. Does the truck have any multimedia interface installed or an aftermarket unit?
3. Does the rear camera work?
4. Did you do anything prior to the reported malfunction?

Thank you Alwaysme for the reply, here are some of the details from your list

1. No Warranty, imported from Europe.
2. No after market unit, but only the original head unit with nav, bluetooth, radio, aircon control, back camera.
3. Back camera not working.
4. Did not do anything. seldomly use it, only message came out is flashed logo toyota then loading.... please dont turn off power... then screen blackout. tried removing the battery waited 30 mins then replug and the same result happens, message appears the same..

Do you have good suggestions what I can do? It seems like the head unit cannot load software fully.. like a computer hangs...
