Hey guys,

Ken from Cascade Cruisers here. Preston and I ran with you guys a lot before the Rubithon event that week last June. Thanks for adopting us!

I've finally gotten off my butt and did some serious edits to the Rubithon shots, and one of shots will likely find it's way into Trails in the next few months.

However, I need the contact and some kind of mod list for the truck. It was the yellow 40 with the early bib, cut fenders and the early turn signals mounted sideways on the fender apron. Since I am lucky to remember someone's name 5 minutes after meeting them, assume I know nothing about the owner and truck.

If you feel more comfortable sending email vs a forum post, send a note to eshelbyk AT gmail DOT com

When I get that I can edit my album and yank that shot, and post the rest here.

At least Preston and I will be there next year. I'm building a BJ42 to be much like the '79 FJ40 I had with Preston last year, but with a little larger tires and a ToyBox. Trying to drag more Cascade Cruisers out there too. They are still in love with Moab and seem to go to that every year.

That sounds like Phil Aaland's rig. V-8, auto, twin cases,FF rear, SOA, OBA and welder, etc. Very capable rig.

Thanks Mark!

As promised here are the "public" shots of the time we had with you all. Since I was driving I usually don't take a lot of pics. Kind of a crappy dichotomy in that.

Also I found a problem I've been putting into my edits on doing yours.. the way I resized shots I put distortion in that comes out as a really harsh contrast on edges- you see it most on outlines of trees and bushes and ridgelines. That is corrected and I could go back and redo all the shots .. but won't unless any of you see something you want.

These things can be printed as a 2'x3' poster if you get the original file and take it to a good printer, so let me know!

Full album is here(lots of my truck, you wouldn't be interested!), the LA folks shots are below-

No thanks, I got more than my share of dents last year! Besides your steering box will flop off anyways.

I think somebody is chicken. My junk is gonna be ready for anything that the Con can throw at it this year. I have spent so much money on it that I'm living it a cardboard box and eating garbage but at least I can wheel and not have to worry about too much carnage.

We will have the welder ready for you or a strap or two.
