Hey y'all!

I'm considering a 2002 LC100 w/ 230k, that looks to be bone stock. He wants $12,500 for it. Anybody have a shop recommendation, in Bellingham, for a thorough inspection?

This rig is from a van conversion shop that has dealer license on the side. The shop took it in from a single owner customer with lots of receipts. Timing belt done. Looks good on my visual inspection, but I'm not a mechanic so I'd really prefer to have it looked over thoroughly, unless someone wants to volunteer to go with me to look at it again ;) )

TIA!

Hi there, I don't know about 100 Series, but DO NOT go to SK Motors in Bellingham! I have had horrible experiences there. So there is a backwards recommendation . :)
If the 100 does not work out, I have a Troopy and a HJ75 Firetruck Flatbed with 6000KM for sale.

All the best!!

I saw your CL ad for you firetruck! A little (actually a lot) out of my price range, but cool truck!

There is a Toyota guy at Bellingham Automotive you could ask to inspect the 100. Can’t remember his name but the service writer would know. I see see older cruisers at Rod’s Japanese Repair but have no personal experience with them.

I know it's a bit of a drive... Torfab in Everett. All he does is Land Cruisers. He's forgotten more than I will ever know about LC's. The other nice part is that he is honest as the day is long. I can't say enough good things about him.
I actually inquired and this was the reply. "
We only do pre inspections on site, and only do a walk around and highlight everything we can see without putting the vehicle on a lift or removal of wheels etc due to the fact we are booked out until October for any work."

If I'm going to pay for an inspection I would want it on a lift. If I end up with an LC I would definitely go to them for work.

Thanks for the suggestion.
