aren't there some legalities about not driving a vehicle with wheels sticking out from the side?

One of these days, I'll get around to taking mine off and bedlining the truck. Never spent the time though figuring out which bedliner to use. :whoops:

That looks like Paragon. Am I right?

I sure dont miss mine... They only real protecion i saw they were giving me was from mud and rocks getting thrown up everywere..... I Only took 1 of mine off.. all of mine were tore or popped off after a few wheeling trips..... I dont care that much about body damage anyways but dont really see how they are going to "save" me from body damage? if you are into a rock or tree its not going to stop your panels from denting or taking a scratch....

Reason i Lost mine was simple ... 80s are big... some trails are small... I didnt want to be worrying about flares and mud flaps eveytime i am on a ledge or in a tight place.

Love the rear bumper.....pm me where you got it. Or how you made it.

Also any pics of black linered flares on a white truck would be nice.

I built clips out of 14 guage sheet metal. All of the plastic webbing was already busted out from ripping them off with trees. I rivited the clips to the flare so they slide down over the t-shaped peices. I can take some pics if there is interest.

For the spatially challenged, such as myself, a picture is worth a thousand words. Sounds like a good idea, let me steal it from you. Thanks, Greg.

At first I tried to keep mine on but after a few trails, they were just all bunged up. I pulled them all off. Some day I plan to fill the holes and repaint, but have not done it yet.

Look! Another flareless 80! Less to rip off on the tight trails around here anyways... The only thing I miss is how they keep all the mud and water spray off my rig.. but I barely miss that!

I have to be about the only one who has been issued a ticket for not having flares. I received a no mudflap, no rear bumper, and tires exceeding the fenderwell fix it ticket. Actually, my wife did. I'm running 35x12.5 MTs on 15x8s with 3.25 backspacing which really pushes the tires out beyond the fender. I think I wouldn't have been nailed except the rear bumper missing set them off. Mudflaps are required in Idaho if the edge of the fender is more than 26" off the ground. I think he said the tires couldn't exceed the fender by more than an 1" . I might be cutting close on that even with the flares on. I've also cut my mudflaps down quite a bit so they don't hang up as much. Photo: Flareless and Bumperless.

Uglibus might have more of an issue with his spacers, no flares, no flaps, and 37s. His looks nice with the lining painted on.
