I'm not sure where I should post this; expo builds, camping, or perhaps hardcore?

2011 Beverly Hillbillies?

Hope he's taken accurate measurements and is avoiding the low span bridges on highways.

I'm also confused. I'm thinking COOL/WTF at the same time. Necessity is the mother of all inventions!

Conceptually it's not that bad, the execution however.....:hillbilly:

If you did the same thing with a 6' box pop-up and a smaller truck but mounted the box such that the slide outs were closer to the cab height it might be pretty cool.

I was thinking kinda the same. It is ugly... but I bet it was assembled from on hand components for practically nothing. And it may do everything that that guy needs to travel the continent(s) for years.
Except that he does not have a single ARB component showing, no Slee stickers and I bet he does not even own an Overlander Tshirt. ;)

Mark...

There is an extremely high likelyhood that this is also the guys work truck. He probably lays rebar for foundations or something along those lines. I am sure he thought "why not use it for vacations". If his destination can be reached on fairly smooth roads, I am sure this rig works as well as any of our expedition builds. It surely appears he can carry more stuff along with him.

All in all, I agree with PhotoMike. I wonder if his name is Jed?

Probably found that thing cheaper than a RTT and thought :meh: why not?

Haha, that is great. Looks like he is taking his work home with him, or is it the other way around. Must cut down on commute time lol.
