got a 2000 tundra about a month ago. only has 37K miles. have noticed a squeaking under the hood upon start-up. isolated it to the compressor pulley. can the pulley be changed out without replacing the entire compressor? belts seem to be tensioned correctly, and in good shape. just doesnt seem like the truck has enough wear on it for this to be happening. any suggestions/info is greatly appreciated. - CW

If it is only on start up, I would think it had to do with general belt looseness.

If it does it when the A/C compressor is running, then I would think pulley.

there's an updated compressor bracket IIRC, to move the compressor more in-line with the other pulleys, and stop the noise.

Alternative: loosten all the compressor bolts with the belt off, move it all the way forward and tilt nose down while tighteneing bolts.
MIGHT b enough.

thanks for the info... it is only on start-up. after the truck runs for awhile it seems to stop. i'll do some more checking.
