How far are you planning to go and do you know the conditions? That trail goes over 12,000 with lots of water crossings. I would have to bet that snowdrifts are still a major factor and water will be deep from runoff. After the second water crossing and before Iron Mike there will no doubt be a huge drift that's impossible to cross. This is usually a mid July trail, but maybe you guys will get lucky. Wish I could join.

Yeah we are not sure yet what to expect, just a few of us that are itching to get out in the mountains... I will post a link to our trail report to let every one know if its passible or not.

We got with in half a mile of the mine on the fork to the left and then their were drifts over the trail we could not break through. I am certain that if the four of us who went all brought snow shovels we could have made short work of it and got the full trail open, I bet its all melted in the next 7-10 days, at least passable. The trail to the right is open all the way to the gate. The water is just high enough to be really fun, yet not sink your rig.
