I will be taking a trip out to Colorado Springs in late November. Are there any half-day type of trails that could be easily accessed and would still be open that late in the year? I'm not really looking for anything specifically challenging, just something to take the kids out and see some of the area. Unfortunately I won't have my "new" 80 out there as it's about a 2 day drive. I would be in a borrowed, bone stock Jeep LJ, so I would be somewhat limited on trail difficulty. I'm mostly unfamiliar with the area (first trip since my parents moved out there), so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try Traildamage.com. Lots if good info there for CO trails

A nice long road , starts up near chyene canyon ends up over near old Colorado ( can't remember the name been 18 years) also a whole system fire roads and stuff / mnt bike trails off the top of Cheyenne canyon, captain jacks ( mnt bike mag trail of the year in like '96) and awesome Lil hike up 7 bridges trail end up basically on the back side of pikes peak above tree line
