color sacrilege

Hey guys,

I am trying to decide on a color choice for my 40. Its a '65 and I am doing a slight resto mod. I wanted the elders permission to see if it would be alright if I painted it Judson Green. Its a FST and I am thinking a khaki colored soft top would look pretty sleek. I just wanted to make sure that this wouldn't commit any FJ40 sacrilege.

It's your truck, so unless you are planning to sell it soon, paint it any color you like.

For a mild resto-mod, any standard LC color should be acceptable. If you were trying to keep a more stock (early) vibe, a slightly more period color might be more marketable later.

I’d just challenge you to at least take a look at what Mr. Toyoda was offering in 65. Google the different color trucks in the soft top format. You might change your mind.
