My son and i have been contemplating what color to paint his pig. I've checked and searched mud for color info and never really found what we were looking for, as far as 2 tone 55 colors. I took the info off the fender tag (278 ea12)and started looking online. I wanted to get samples of the actual white that was inside the rig. Cygnus white was close, but not quite right. I ended up taking the codes to a local paint supplier and found both colors. He punched in 1978 toyota, 278, and wa la. White is spot on and the blue looks great.
So the pig is going to be original blue and white. We're color matching the hippo-liner (blue) that is going on the roof, lower 8"of doors, rockers, thresholds, and about 2" around fenders. Everything inside will be lined with same liner in matched white, except the doors. Fender wells will be black. All new weather stripping is on the way $$$ (special thanks to HeathRJ & Tuckers sticky). I'll post pics as it progresses and should be done in a couple of weeks
