For those that have been tracking my thread on bringing the FJ43 from Colombia you may know that I have had a TON of help from freinds who are residents of Colombia.
One in particular who has made this whole thing happen is "HOPEFULY" comming to visit on May 30th-31st. He is a fellow international Ih8MUDer and owns a beautiful FJ40.
He is not positive if he can swing a trip out of the way to the area but is trying. If he can make it I'm going to put him up at my place. While he is here I would like to do at least one of the following two ideas.
#1: If we could get another group who wants to go wheeling to Uwharrie for a day you all could show him around the local trails. Of course I still won't have a ride, but we would love to tag along if others didn't mind.
#2: I would also like to throw a Get together at my place. Just doing a big BBQ out on the back patio. Show him and his wife some of the local Carolina BBQ style, maybe some bluegrass music, some beer, and just have a good time overall. If we need to have any formal agenda maybe we can talk to Juan about an expidition trip to Colombia
a few years down the road. Some of you have been to my place before and I'm only about 45 minutes from those that live in Raliegh.
Any comments suggestions welcome..hopefully it can all work out. Its just to bad that the FJ43 will get here a week after he is gone.
