i am looking to get a cold air intake for a 2003 tundra and would like to know which one is the best?

The best is the stock air box. The idea of a CAI (cold air intake) is providing cooler air for the intake. The stock set-up does this by drawing the air from the wheel well. A lof of the aftermarket kits that replace the complete air box unit only has a plate to help block heat from the engine but, it still draws a lot of the heat. I think the only one that I would look at considering would be Volant's set-up but, for the price, I'd rather not.
I was able to get a free AEM Brute Force intake in exchange for pics and a write-up a few years back on my 00 tundra v8. I ended up trading if for a stock unit.
After market intakes really increase noise. If you really want to change something for the intake, save your money and just buy a drop-in filter. Keep the stock box. A better bang for you buck aftermarket product would be a set of JBA headers. And even after the headers stick with the stock box and at most a drop-in filter.

he is right on the money...to a point.
when these CAI were designed, it was with the idea that the truck would be moving at a fair amount of speed, which in turn would produce cooler air coming in from the front. The problem with MOST of our truck (wheelers), is we are going at a much slower speed. The heat in the engine compartment doesnt have a chance to go anywhere and the CAI sucks it right up.
It all depends on what kind of driving you will be doing. I have the stock box w/a drop in K&N on my 04. My 01 had an CAI, and I went back to stock. Hope that helps.
You might google the Deck plate mod. Maybe it will work on the Tundra.
