Just Installed A Cold Air Intake. Everything Is Hooked Up Fine As Far As I Can Tell. Both The Engine And Vsc Light Are On. Any Ideas?

Did you disconnect the neg. battery cable before disconnecting/reconnecting the MAF sensor?

Remove your neg. battery cable for 30 seconds, then reconnect.

I got the same thing when the intake hose came off and sucked too much air past the MAF Sensor.

intakes etc

Mine did the same-I was told to D/C the neg cable for 5hrs, and pull the ecu fuse??????This was to allow the ecm/u to reeducate itself to new fuel/air conditions. My idiot light went out(how true this is I can't verify) and over a 2 -3 week period response to throttle input seemed to get better. The main affect is a "seat of the pants" increased mid range response. I'm running w/TRD Exhuast w/o headers, and spectre intake w/"sock" and no oil soak, and the limitation feels like I need more "outee" now.I did clean the MAF sensor w/MAF cleaner also.I also went to a smaller vaccum input to the intake then the supplied oriface-as the stock airbox inlet to the fuel reg is tiny.......but its voodoo past this point with me.Anyone please feel free to flame the the idiot factor here???????
