I ordered two (4 total valves) and revived a small baggy with two valve caps and two small plastic pieces... what are these for?

Ahh, you must’ve ordered direct from us(our website), we “usually“ toss in a few spare gaskets, unless we are slammed that day with orders, and then we may not have time.
Our valves are reusable as long as the gasket isn’t damaged or torn upon removal.
They do need to be removed properly(install/uninstall vid on our site and FB), but even then sometimes the gasket is ruined.
So basically, you’ve got extras, we will have them on our site soon for retail , but until they get them on there we send out a few extra, we don’t have that hands on ability via other sales channels.
Thanks for your business!

Also, just to clarify...you DID receive your valves also correct? Not just the small bag with extra parts..?
Correct, I received the valves as well, my order was 100% complete with the extras. Thanks for the spares, very kind of you. These days I try to order this type of stuff direct from the manufacturer because there so much fake Chineseium knockoffs around. I don’t mind paying up for the real thing for gear that’s associated with repairs, rescue, recovery, or safety.

Had these ColbyValves on my "things to add to my repair kit" list was about to order and watched an install video and thought "what about TPMS?" So I searched MUD and voila, my question's answered. Ordering today.

Just curious, has anyone used a "none Toyota" TPMS mounted with a wheel strap? I don't think it would be worth it to me to change the valve stem mounted OEM ones currently installed but I'm just curious if that is an option.

I think of them as limp off the trail, or limp home option. If I end up needing to use them, this means the valve stem is messed enough that I'm losing air, so the TPMS sensor is shot. So, I'll undo the nut, push the sensor into the rim, and it is going to rattle around inside the rim until I get to a place where I can replace the sensor.

Interesting. So you took the valve stem thing off it, or maybe you don’t need to as the pressure sensing part would be on the tire side of the valve.

Agreed. I look at this as a temporary fix to avoid having to swap a spare tire on the trail. I'd much rather fix valve stems and plug/patch tires first before messing with a spare!

The pressure sensing has nothing to do with the valve. I have mine in a “TPMS pressure testing device” made of pvc. They don’t know the difference...
