So the route is far from perfect and may not even be possible in many sections. Plan to pick up some plans when I'm in Afghanistan and see if I can go off-road as much as possible until picking up the OBDR. Then I stole the route in Idaho from another adventurer. Then I just picked a couple of points I want to go and or have friends.
I plan on doing this trip as much as off-road as possible up about TX. Then hop on the interstate back to Savannah.
I know it would be a lot of of driving or shipping but if anyone wants to join me in the trip of, well the decade, let me know.
Sadly the Army makes it impossible to track down a specific date until a month or so out. That and most of the routes I want to take have the possibility of some snow starting to fall as this will be in October most likely next year.
Anyway just thought I would share a dream and hopefully someone can make the trip with me.
