 ERG!! New clutch is squealing like a SOB! What did I F up when doing the install? It only squeals when I push the pedal in and is super high pitched and loud. The first two days after the install it was working perfect, now this! Any suggestions? I would hate to have to pull that damn tranny again.

TIA-

I am the unluckiest person ever:mad: I just pulled the inspection cover of the bellhousing and my worst nightmares have come true. All the indications were there i.e. "loud Squealing" but I just didn't want to believe it. My :censor: throwout bearing is siezed. I just put a freakin new one in two days ago. It came as part of the clutch kit from SOR.

Any thoughts as to what caused this? Bad part maybe, I installed it exactly how it was removed.

It's probably that you just are the most unlucky person ever - it's kinda hard to screw up a TOB install on a 60 so it could very well have been just a faulty part.

Oh, and you're probably better off sticking with OEM for things like clutch parts given the effort to install them. C-Dan at American Toy typically beats any aftermarket prices.

Is he in the vendors section?

Another question, what are the chances that something else was damaged from the T/O bearing seizing up. The clutch cover looked to be in good shape still, none of the fingers where damaged. The thing is, i'm not ready to do this project all over again, so i'm going to take it to a mechanic. I just want to be sure they don't try to charge w/ something that doesn't need to be replaced.

BTW not saying that mechanics are shady, this will be the first time I've dealt with a mechanic in my area and don't really no a reputable one. I just want to be sure.

TIA-
