Hi Guys
For those of you that have used the Marks bellhousing kit with your SBC install and retained the cruiser box, how did you make out with the clutch fork pivot mounting into the Marks bellhousing? There is a threaded hole in the new bellhousing for the threaded part of the pivot shaft to screw into, but the old pivot shaft is too small for this. I can just screw a smaller bolt through from behind the bellhousing into the fork pivot and tighten it up but this obviously wont fit properly. It will work but is kinda half ass. Without machining a bolt with a wide diameter to fit the bellhousing, and a narrower diameter to tap the pivot fork, anyone got any ideas or have run into this before. Thanks for the advice guys. :)

It's been a bit of time, but it seems to me that with the Marks kit all the clutch actuating components stayed attached to the 2F bellhouse; all the marks kit does is make an 8 inch long throwout bearing.

Thanks Greg
I have a JDM FJ62 with 3F and H55F tranny, I wonder if the 2F and 3F fork pivots are different.... Anyone got a 2F pivot lying around to measure the diameter...

p.s. Greg, I took your advice and jumped on some super cheap Diamante seats, got most of the way to putting them in yesterday. She's a tight squeeze but my ass is thanking me allready

Bump!

I know there was a difference in the bellhouse and clutch components between early and late FJ60s - the later ones were the same as used in the 3F LCs (it's even marked "3F". The fork pivot on my setup is inside the LC bellhouse and consists of a small mushroom-shaped thing that is connected to the fork by two springy wires. I'm wondering if you are using some different sort of Marks adapter than I did.

Right-on about the seats.
