Anyone know a trustworthy shop to resurface the flywheel for my 1HZ? Not a super available part here so don't want someone to butcher it.

I'm in Oceanside so something north county would be preferred.

Thanks!

I didn't think that process varied depending on the flywheel, maybe unless it was one of those dual mass types, which the HZ is not. I would just take it to a reputable machine shop you've worked with in the past. I've been using MJM engines in Escondido for all my machining needs, had them rebuild my FT head, they are a full machine shop, so I am sure if they can do a head they should be able to surface a flywheel.

@Loober Thanks! Process is the same, I just know that some flywheels have steps that need to be retained(AFAIK not the HZ either). I have heard some not-so-good shops take a lot of material off too.

I have never worked with a machine shop here in SD so that is really why I am asking as I don't want to just throw a dart at the phonebook and would refer someone that others have used and had good results from.
