"Clunk/Click" when braking to a complete stop... some details... (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm getting a "clunk/click" sounds that I can almost feel whenever I come to a complete stop. It's very consistent and doesn't seem to be getting better/worse. I've driven about 500 miles with the sound. It seems to be coming from the front end. Nothing is visibly loose...

A few details:

• Got stuck in salt water mud (Salton Sea,CA) and it caked everything on the bottom of the truck. Still finding chunks of salt mud in the undercarriage.
• Recently did CV boots and bearing replacement. These were done about 4K miles before the noise started...

I tightened the emergency brake just in case something happens. I was hoping it would go away, but it hasn't.

Anyone had a similar issue?

I had a very similar sound. I greased the driveshaft until it flowed and pushed out the old grease. I've put 2000 miles since. Sound is completely gone!

Thank you, that thread is daunting.... make me things everything is broken. I'll start with the driveshaft and try other things in the thread...
