I will admit that Impact doesn't look horrible (and despite my earlier comment I had intended to try it and post, when I got back home).

I'm not a fan of ALL CAPS. But I'm a grammar nazi and will go back and edit 6 month old posts of mine to fix errors.....

Anyway, it's a other viable option, and if we can get a few more types of fonts we can get a real vote going.

My Fave so far. And just to be contradictory, I like the X's going the same way on both sides of the seal (not mirror images of each other)

For what my .02 is worth I like the X's centered on either side better...it looks much more symetrical that way.

I'm pretty sure he's saying he likes the exact style of the text on this one right here.

I do dig that style but I think the top text should be smaller so that the X's are centered top to bottom.

I think Gabe's are just too small, and it makes the seal look empty.

Darned if you do, darned if you don't.

Make it smaller to fit the X's: "It's too small!". Make it larger to fill it up: "The X's aren't centered!". And regardless of what you do: "'Jefferson State' is too big compared to 'Cruisers'!"

what do you guys think of strevors seal idea; so far I like the idea the best, only needs some fine tuning IMHO

not sure if that is a link or what? it's post 23 in this thread.

I know, big monkey in the process. but I think the only other option that has that same iconic look (stockish 40) would be a '55; even my current favorite ('80) looks pretty bland compared.

no ding on the last three that popped up today of '80's, just not as much POP as the old '40 front end.

Either font works for me (caps and lower). I just like the XX's the way I put them : )

As far as pictures go, it looks like you clicked the image link and added it from your desktop on your computer. To do it that way you will need to add attachments from below the text box. /CHEERS

That's quite low, and looks odd to me.

It's kinda a case of we're going to have to choose the lesser of two evils I think. I'd rather have smaller text and more even X's than larger text and X's that look like they were put in as an after thought.

Well I don't have your nifty around the ring writing program so ofcourse it was an after thought, lol.
