What do you guys think about re-using u bolts ? Going to be putting new axles under the 62 and don't really want to buy u bolts but don't want to be stupid either. What do ya think ?

If they are in perfect shape and come apart real easy keep them but that doesnt happen very often. I would get new ones.

I have reused u-bolts before and they worked like a champ for 5 more years but I was broke in the military and could not afford new ones.
I would try not to reuse them.
Or just to get it back moving and change them later maybe.

And I thought I was a cheep ass.

Its just a bolt and nut, what goes wrong with them. So only two votes.

one replace
one cheap ass

As I understand it, the problem has to do with the fact that the bolts stretch close to their "Young's modulus" when they are torqued - too close to the failure point to reuse.

Made the trip down to ipor this morning and now have new u-bolts. Thanks for the info.
