Ok everyone thanks for a Great meeting last night. Below are some of the things covered and actions associated with them:
1. Website is up at oilcountrycruisers.ca please check it out! Thanks Charla for putting it together! Also we have a facebook page... Like that too. Thanks again to Charla.
2. This club made $1222 from the T-BAR event due to our support in putting it on. Great Job! That money will be combined with our other funds totaling somewhere around 1500. As discussed in the meeting 500 for charity, 500 to pay back Steve, and 500 in the bank! Nice work!
3. Charity donation for 2014. Camp HeHoHa was chosen by the group as a local charity we hope to support. Mike Salmon will make contact with them. Dean Price to contact media contacts to see if they would be interested in getting involved. I'd also asked that Mike ask about volunteering opportunities for a club like our with our skills
4. Christmas party for 2014. Yes we want one. Any volunteers to organize? Speak up!
5. Radio's, As discussed during the meeting club believe FRS/GMRS radios are all we require. Paul Solash to research what the best and where to purchase. Perhaps we can do a group buy through a local place. Radio's won't be bought with club funds since we think they are cheap!
6. September Wheeling day, Hoping to get out some day in September to Bruderheim. Possible dates look to be 20th/21st or 27th/28th. Post up what date is your top pick.
7. Oct 5th Chainsaw day, The RMLCA is helping our a YMCA camp near Canmore by cutting firewood for them on the 5th. If members would like to head down many hands make light work! Possibility to hit the trails on Saturday at Waiporous and camp for the evening. Then chainsaw and return back to E town Sunday night. Post up if your interested!
8. 2015 Event, Sounds like we are all up for putting something together in the Rocky Mountain House area. This will require a couple scouting trips to be taken on early next year. Need to touch base with the Tarsand group to ensure we don't steal their date of September Long. Ideally we can use those dates and have a Rocky Royale down here next year with the northerners making the trip. Tyler Arnott will touch base with their members about the possibility for an event on sept long down south next year.
Likely this check will start a fund for an 81!
