How come I knew you would jump on that

 If someone in the club has done more welded thirds than I have...they can have the honors..:flipoff2:

I'm there....

Brett--you should probably start another thread about this just to keep it sane for us!!

Later.

Will do. Our welder is only 110, so I don't know that it has enough ass to weld up a diff. We should probably do that over at Mark's if he's got the juice and experience.

I will get another thread going on the May session.

Brett

Hey Vince, I think I have your 12mm ratcheting wrench and you have mine perhaps. Or, Jim I have your 12mm ratcheting wrench and you have mine. The one in my set that doesn't match is a Husky. Mine's a GearWrench. Check it out and we'll get them swapped back.

Brett

Brett,

He has it...we cleaned the s*** out of the shop Monday night and it's there. Can hold on to it till the next gathering soon? Your call. We can come up your way also.

BTW, doing the diff at my shop is cool, my welder though is portable.

Warren, I plate my 3rds now and weld the plate into the spyders..Fawkin' Bullet Proof dude..Me and vince have been running welded rears for years.:grinpimp:

Sounds good, we'll swap next time.

We only have 110V at our shop, so if your welder is 230 it is a better choice. We have no shielding gas either.

BTW, I like the lightning bolt back in the Steal Your Face avatar :-)

Missin' Jerry,

Missin' Jerry alot lately myself and been listening to quite a bit. Decided that Avatar is going to get blown up to 27"s for a Roof Sticker on the Ftoy

The hood is getting a 40 ounce Beer Bottle in brown paper bag (think of it looking like clipart) and have officially dubbed the truck the Formula 40

Sounds good on the 3rd, I will bring it. Wondering if I should pull another to run lincolns front and rear??? This will be a summer/ driveway vehicle only. So I am not worried about the winters. Can unlock the hubs. Just dont want to pull the front axle apart again since it has 0 miles since the rebuild this summer.....

Update, The windsheild is installed, Brake Booster is installed and working woo hoo. Rear tail gate installed with some love from the 5 pound beater.
need about an hour worth of grinding and drilling on the seat frame to get it in. Clearance issues with the filler neck. But coming together, I will hunt down some lap belts next week.

Warren,

I can burn a diff together here with my 220 stick welder if you wanna make SURE it's stuck together! Then you can just trade me your diff at the next work day or something. Or I can bring the stick welder up to Mark's shop and YOU can burn it in yourself. I'd bring the 220 MIG but its a heavy-assed old skool Millermatic 35 that I hafta use the engine hoist to get into the truck!
