The Climate Control sometimes pumps out warm air when AC is required.
AC can really pump out cold air but at times it outputs warm air.
I just nudge the temperature down a degree and it then immediately
switches to cool air. Definitely not a show stopper but a minor annoyance.

I wonder if this is a known issue? Maybe my 2002 LX470 has some malfunction?

Are you getting any DTC codes? My first guess is it could be the damper control servomotor, had something similar happen to me in our Honda Odyssey. Passenger side would periodically blow hot air, replaced the damper motor and fixed the issue. The Odyssey had a really cool diagnostics mode you could enter with a button combination on the HVAC controls, looking through the FSM I don't see that option with the LX/LC...but it should provide a DTC to help identify the issue. Can you read the codes?

I had an issue with mine. It seemed I constantly had to dance between temps to keep the cabin comfortable. I took the kick plate below the steering wheel off and noticed the temp sensor hose was disconnected. Once i reconnected it, the climate control works flawlessly.

That just might be what is wrong with my LX. Got to figure out how to remove the bottom kick plate cover .
BTW, is the hose you are mentioning a vacuum like hose or a larger hose?

It's a very thin, almost paper like hose that has a metal wire wrapped in a coil to keep its structure. It's on the right side where the little grill slits are on the kick panel. Take the plastic panel off very gently because if you yank it off it may pull the hose off and you won't know if it was connected or not before.

Search for directions on installing the Slee override switch if you need help removing the panel. I'm pretty sure that's the first step in the Slee directions. Otherwise, it's pretty simple
