Just got an insurance quote for this from a motorcycle crashing into me on the trail. The area the clear coat covers on the drivers side front fender was only $45 I believe. I'll look again at the paperwork to verify, but I remember the guy saying it was almost nothing to peel it and replace.

Are y'all talking about the same thing? Re_G, are you talking about an invisi-shield type product or the actual clear coat on the paint?

If you are talking about the clear coat on the paint, you will probably be looking at painting the hood. What color is your truck? You don't HAVE to blend black, by the way.

Yeah it sounds like you guys are talking about two different things. I've never heard of peeling clear coat off.

Where'd you go? Were you happy with it? Base + clear? Oh, and I couldn't find that bumper on CL...

I'm having the same issue as the 80 in above.. and so far, I have had 2 quotes;
1.) $500 over the phone though, so it was made clear this could go up easily
2.) $450ish this involved 2 hours pre-spray work for chips, etc, 4.5 for painting. This one was in person, and I would just drop off the hood.

I'll be getting it done here soon.

The husband of a lady from work repainted my hood for me.... You're right, someone must have snatched it up because I just looked and it's gone. Was only there a few days...
