Clean '76 FJ55 in Skagway AK.- Unattached

Friendly heads up from someone who wishes they had an Pig. I just got back from a cruise in Alaska. While in Skagway I saw a green and white '76 fj55 sitting in the lot by the ship dock for sale, I believe thats where many people park for work. The truck had some very minor rust but was in amazing shape inside and out. It was listed at $10,500, which seems high but I'd guess to find one in that shape is not common especially in AK and I'm sure you could bargain. its a small town so it shouldnt be hard to find.

It's a VERY small town. I wonder who the owner thinks is gonna buy it! Some dude off a cruise ship? Did you notice if it was licensed in AK? If owner decides to advertise in Juneau, which wouldn't be a bad idea, I'll check into it so thanks. Not that I'm a serious buyer...

Yeah it had AK plates. On another note, considering there are no roads into Juneau, how much would it cost to ship a truck in on your own dime?

From Skagway? One would have to fly or ferry there and then accompany the rig back on the Ferry. It'd cost about $300 total, I'd guess. Barging a vehicle from Seattle to Juneau is available for around $900-1000.
