Night Wheeling in Clayton

I have enough trouble there in the daytime.
Me Too! However, on second thought...the "minor" fire I had under the hood on my 40 in Clayton on Memorial Day weekend might have been noticed sooner at night...unless some dweeb thought it was underhood lighting - HA!

Well...I found out Big Tex isn't so big anymore. New 17" TR Wheels w/ 4.5" bs and 44" Pitbulls equate to about 5" narrower in the front. Unfortunately, the line Big Tex use to take on Green Mamba won't work anymore. Thank goodness the roll cage at the top right of the windshield caught me vs. the pretty red hood!

We had a great time. Bryan, Charles, Dusty & Tommy, and me & my cousin Lynn wheeled till about 12:30 am and then hit it Saturday. Not too much carnage but it was hotter than :censor:

Wheels / Tire Pics

Here are 3 pics taken in the shop (via iphone) just after putting the new PitBulls & wheels on Big Tex. I was a bit concerned the narrower stance would allow the tires to get into the bib but there was no problem there.

They are noticably more square on the outer edges putting more rubber on the ground. On the 9" wheels with 4-5 lbs pressure, they flatten out nicely on the ground and have a rounded peak on the top.

I love the tires but I could tell they were brand new. I ran 5 lbs in the front and 4 lbs in the rear.

Let me know if you need more pics.
