Woody,

I'm getting ready to sell my 2 cruisers, an off road trailer, and 40+ years of accumulated parts and pieces.... I plan on listing the sale on multiple sites, including MUD.

Because of the size of this sale, I felt it best to consolidate and organize the massive amount of info (photos and technical info) on a photo share site and place a link to the photo site in each ad for additional information.

The MUD User guide seems to strongly recommend against photos and attachments being "linked" to a source outside this forum. While I appreciate the "unlimited space" on this forum, I like the organizational aspects of the linked photo site.

Any issue with me linking a photo site to my classified ad here on MUD?

You can do whichever you want.

The recommendation is due to external sites "blocking" sites (like MUD) from viewing the images. MUD has always allowed unlimited attachments, and as a result, most old tech posts remain with images intact. Externally hosted images left many sites with lost content.
