sorry, I posted in a couple of places, because I wasn't sure whether it was chat, outfitting, or trailer tech, apparently it was trailer tech (sorry woody!!)

anyway, I picked up a 1968 toter trailer, and it is a bit low for the 40, so I was thinking that it might be a good idea to spring it over. any thoughts, also if you do this, do you need to fab up some kind of plate or something, as it seems that the trailer axle is just round, and would not sit well under the spring.
or is it probably a better idea, (in terms of handling etc.) to just make taller spring hangers?
