Dear Members,

Classic 4x4 Market (C4M) is proud to become a Supporting Vendor for IH8MUD! As many of our listings end up being Cruisers and Hiluxes, it's only right that we become part of the community.

C4M is a selling platform for classic 4x4s (up to model-year 1985, in all "conditions"), and currently offers "Auctions" as our primary selling tool. Starting bids are at a low $200 to motivate bidders, and the Reserve Price feature protects sellers from less-than-enthusiastic bidding; auctions last for 7 or 10 days, your choice. 20 photographs and 1 video are allowed in each listing.

To the surprise of many, our services are FREE; there are no fees whatsoever, to either seller or bidder. We derive our income from display ads.

Once your listing is live, we promote it on our Facebook and Twitter pages, on Craigslist at times, as well as in our periodic electronic newsletter. Our active website visitors are 17,000+ per month, and we have garnered 10,000+ Likes on Facebook.

We typically have a good number of Toyota listings on our site, with most of them being the 40s series - see the latest at the following link. We will also post new listings here periodically.

Just a quick heads-up - this auction ends in 30 minutes, currently at $9,000:

1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

WINNING BID: $12,000.

Up next, with auction expiring in two days and bidding currently at $2,500, is a green '67 FJ40 with a Chevy V8, automatic transmission. The truck is in Camarillo, CA, and there's a video of the vehicle on the listing page.

1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 w/V8

DID NOT HIT RESERVE AT $3,800.

I would not use the term FJ. Especially given that one of the 40s pictured above is a BJ40. FJ refers to the FJ Cruiser, not Land Cruisers.

We had assumed that thread visitors wouldn't think of the newer "FJs" since we deal in only pre-1985 models... but we definitely see the likelihood now. To avoid any future confusion, we will use "Land Cruisers" going forward, as you suggested. Thank you.

We have a couple here from BSV Motoring:

1978 FJ40

1974 FJ43

And lastly one from TLC

If you have (or know of someone with) a pre-'86 Land Cruiser/Hilux for sale, consider listing it with us (fixed price or auctions) for FREE, for up to 30 days. Register HERE, and click the "Sell" link... that's it.

Our apologies for the lack of postings in the past two months - holidays, what can we say? ;-)

As some of you may already have noted, we've updated the look of our site, and moved things around a bit, all in the name of user-friendliness; we hope that the improvement helps!

In any case, we have a whopping TWELVE Land Cruisers on our site currently, and here's a link to them all:

To contact sellers, simply post your question in the Questions/Comments section toward the bottom of the listing page... account registration is required.

Thanks, and we at Classic 4x4 Market wish you a happy and fulfilling New Year 2018!
