Cigarette lighter non-working. Need power for phone charging.

Yes the fuse is good but the lighter itself is no longer operational. Does any generic replacement lighter fit or is it better to figure a way to wire the phone charger straight to another power source?

So I found this solution but can someone tell me how to get the old lighter out of the dash? I can't find any clips behind it or means of attachment.
