I also got the Cibie's from Daniel Stern. I stayed with the oem wiring and 55w bulb. 10 minute install. The improvement over stock is awesome. I CAN SEE!!!!!! :)

Cibie, great TRUE E-codes...........now I like these better.....but I am a Toyota nut ;)

bulbs changed to 90/100 and they are H4 but the oddest H4 ever seen, I now own the last of the yellow odd H4's in at least the US......

I've run them on my 60 and a Miata for over6 years. No problems and the output is great. It does take some people a little time to get use to the cutoff but I prefer it.

no not a dare........just a request if you happen to see some. Need LHD.....none of that RHD stuff.....;)

Is that a dare???:grinpimp:

Don't hold your breath, but I just sent an e-mail to a guy at Koito...

Mot;)

:flipoff2:
I specifically asked for the LHD crap.;)

No reply received yet.

If he flakes out then I'll try a different route.

Mot:)

Pimp,

The Koito guy called me today...

First he asks me "Where did you get the pic of the headlight?"

I replied: From this loser who owns like 24 Land Cruisers and even more gubs.:flipoff2:

Anyway, long story short, they no longer manufacture them (He told me he showed it to a bunch of his co-workers to confirm what it was and whether they were still available or not.)

If what he said was true he said that one of the reasons for dropping them was that the yellow in the head light contained some sort of chemical which was less than environmentally friendly, or something like that.

So...:flipoff2:

I think your right......the yellow bulbs are filled with bad ju ju fluid........but the lights themselfs are clear........just the bulbs are yellow. I have clear bulbs also. the lights look yellow even when off becuase of the huge size of the yellow bulbs, put clear bulb in and the lights are clear/white

would think the lens are out there someplace........somewhere, thanks for trying

and your getting funnier and funnier MOT :D

show them a pic of the OEM Koito fj40 fogs and see what they say :D

most the current yellow bulbs put out a yellow light but the bulb is not itself yellow, so when off the light looks white/clear.......I dig the actaull yellow bulbs as even when off the lights look yellow.......which I dig ;)
