Despite my OLD background in radio electronics, wiring in my vehicle is always a nemesis. As soon as I see something isn’t functioning, if it’s not simple ..I get antsy. Funny thing is that I usually fix it but now without that hour of anxiety before digging in. Good luck… this isn’t someone being creative with a fusible link ?
Gonna need someone with more knowledge than me with the pig. Most I’ve done electrical was pull wire and install plugs and switches and occasional ceiling fan.

I think that might be the hazard lights "flasher assembly" (Item 1). Please refresh my memory, this is the '69 pig? I can post all the wiring diagram information if you would find it helpful. Red wire looks like someone pulled 12v for something. CB radio maybe back in the day? Does it go to anything?

Very Helpful Greg! Yes it’s a 69 and now that you say it along with the 8 track radio that was in it there was also a CB. With my ADD i have to keep redirecting myself to stick to what really needs to be labeled with pulling the body off. I see a wire going off some where and its like “squirrel”!

Solenoid.

Look up "Continuous Solenoid Relay 12V DC 125A 3 Terminals Heavy Duty Starter Solenoid" and you should be able to find a replacement...
Thanks, not looking to replace as the electrical wiring from 76 will be going in the 69. Been unhooking and labeling the 76 harness this morning,

Found trailer plug tucked in corner. Not sure if Chris was planning to pull something in future.

Gas tank lost bolt somewhere down the line.

Suspended by 3 bolts no big deal for now.

Found radio that was in the 69 when I bought it. I do think it would super cool to put this back in it.

Wonder if there is somewhere I could have it sent to make sure it works like it should?

7” rain since 5:30 this morning in half a day. Wife and I have been stuck at farm all day. Attempted to go to town hour ago and roads still flooded. Ponds filled up though and I’m still working on pigs so it’s a darn good day!

If that is an 8-track tape player, I still have a few I should send you

Raining cats and dogs here this morning so outside work not going to happen! Need to work on pigs anyway. Read @WarDamnEagle and @PabloCruise threads at work Thursday. Appreciate both of you all doing such great job documenting things.

Body swap on track for next weekend. Doing what I can to prep for it. Radiator for the 76 apparently not finished and shop closed at noon yesterday when I called at 4 to check in on it. Carb for 69 also apparently not finished like i hoped it would be. Lot’s to do without these items either way. Just hoped to have them running this weekend.

Labeling and disconnecting wires. Gonna go ahead and remove necessary carpet to access the body bolts. Going to spray the bolts with PB blaster every couple days, hopefully this will help some stubborn ones.

Need to identify and order some new screws/bolts to attach the new dash when time is right.

IF my memory serves me right it seems like @Pighead mentioned new body mounts required longer bolts or at least in a couple spots? Gonna have to figure that out.

I love that you are getting all of that rain. Send some over here!

Excited for sure. Gonna have my work cut out for me once i get the 69 back. @PabloCruise thread gave me some good ideas for sure. I want to undercoat the body and he used “Evercoat rubberized undercoating” I have reached out this morning to see how this has worked out for him. I’m sure there may be some other quality products but having someone who has used a product success is worth its weight in gold.

Tear down plan has been created so we don’t miss much. Also tools and accessories being compiled today, prepare for the worst, hope for the best!
Preparation is key! Both for the grand scheme, and before apply undercoat. I remember that I pressure washed the underside of the Pig, then I wire wheeled every thing I could under there, then I wiped with grease remover, and then applied the undercoat. I will check under there today and see how things are holding up.

What 8-tracks are we talking?
Blue Oyster Cult?
Deep Purple?
Perhaps some Zeppelin???
This is going to be epic!

I think maybe before and after the pressure wash I hit everything with compressed air as well.
I was a filthy mess after this!

List is long to possibilities, AC/DC was last 8 track I recall owning. Allman Brothers, Eagles, The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker Band…

Fact that you were able to do this with body still on was encouraging. Going to treat frame also.
