I know I have a few blanks, Hendrix and the others I have absolutely no idea ..,, that box has not been opened in 4 decades?

Radiator got clean bill of health and drain repaired. Now install once home from work and start up the 76 pig. At least that’s the plan!

Installing winch on tilt trailer which has been fiasco. Multiple bolts have been attempted. Left home at 5:45 this morningso I could go to Lowe’s and buy M10 x 1.5 x 90mm. Suppose to feel like 100 outside so this should be fun.

Good to hear it passed the test! I thought I was good too, after having my drain repaired recently but, I just noticed some coolant on lower part of the fan shroud. :(

You are being tested for sure, it is all going to work out though!!!

Little research here at work today. Appears the old radio is circa 1973. Although it is stamped by Sears and Roebuck, it was manufactured by Sanyo. Suppose to be pretty decent radio. Emailed shop in Sc about modernizing it so it would be functionable. However, I do fear the ability to play an 8 track would be gone.

@Tomba and I have very similar luck. I just got the radiator put in. Put gallon in for starters then figured i would check to see if it would start. Clutch went straight to the floor without any pressure. Clutch reservoir has fluid in it no leaks, but no clutch! So off to look into that. Was hoping to load this one up on trailer and haul to Tulsa tomorrow. She did start but has nice whine in engine compartment. I took brief look at the harmonic dampener and it doesn’t appear to have a wobble so there’s a positive!

Hopefully bleeding the clutch takes care of it.

Welp, time to get that air out. (hoping its that simple)....

I know I have said this before but nice trailer. Never noticed how far forward the axles are though. Guess you just pull it forward until you touch the front. 😂
You definitely think you are going to run into the air dam before it comes down. Then you get out, hook it down and then back her up a little.

Will see how it pulls tomorrow morning. 40 miles to go after the country roads. After that it’s all interstate with good shoulder I can pull over on. Small chance I’ll pull it back little.

It’s good trailer for the smaller rigs for sure.

Doesn’t look good for carb to be ready this week for the 69. So I’ll tape up all the hoses and fuel line, put some good tape over the carb plate. Put it back together tomorrow and winch it up on trailer after I finish winch tomorrow night.

First thing to do to the 76 when I get to Tulsa is burp the radiator. I threw some in, didn’t see any leaks put cap on to load trailer. Next thing wife announcing to everyone (just she and I) that it was spewing radiator fluid all over the trailer. Think overflow canister is cracked. No other sources and the wife’s greatest fear that I was poisoning all the animals (both dogs) didn’t occur.

I’ll burp using @pigeatens method, when Kim isn’t around.

Hope to bleed clutch this afternoon when dropping off pig. However, which fails most for those that know, does the slave or master give out first? No obvious leaks as mentioned and this pig sat for many years in that storage unit of Chris's.

The 69 body is going to look great when set on this frame and wheels. Pig got quick rinse today on way to work.

SO I guess you've got someone to do a Body swap onto this frame? This one dosent look too bad maybe I am missing part of the story..... Might have to re-read the thread.

Yep, this 76 body going to nice mudder from AZ who had unfortunate incident with his after it rolled on its side doing some climbing. It’s not perfect and has some rust but there are a lot worse out there. With he and his son coming out it provided great opportunity to do the swap.

In beginning I purchased it from Delancy’s widow for the rebuilt engine, 5 speed and everything Chris had Robbie rebuild in Golden around 2013.

With so many things that would need to be done to the original 69 to make it a daily drive this just makes sense to me.

I’ll tag Chris’s build thread thread to all that was done.
