Yep, this 76 body going to nice mudder from AZ who had unfortunate incident with his after it rolled on its side doing some climbing. It’s not perfect and has some rust but there are a lot worse out there. With he and his son coming out it provided great opportunity to do the swap.

In beginning I purchased it from Delancy’s widow for the rebuilt engine, 5 speed and everything Chris had Robbie rebuild in Golden around 2013.

With so many things that would need to be done to the original 69 to make it a daily drive this just makes sense to me.

I’ll tag Chris’s build thread thread to all that was done.
Ahh makes sense now. In seeing all these owners who take long drives, it makes me wonder at what point do you say ok, this thing is dependable enough to take on a trip somewhere... I think a rebuild or a v8 might inspire that confidence. Guess I'll know when I get there 🤔

Where we live it’s not practical to drive 55 with the 3/tree. I’m not sure if birds, cows and all the other wildlife would hear the noise I would hear inside the cab while driving. Who knows I may have incited some stampedes in CO while driving it I’ll never know!

However, which fails most for those that know, does the slave or master give out first?
Whichever one is weaker, which is why I rebuild both at the same time. Bench bleed the master, easier than the brake master. Does the fluid level in the reservoir go up as you bush the pedal? (= bad master seals).
You don't need a clutch to drive a Pig...

Good info, did not know a pig could be driven much without a clutch! Read that from one of your previous posts this morning.

Carb shop just called and 69's carb is ready. Son on way to pick up. Hope my luck continues after putting it on as soon as I am home and I can drive the 69 up on the trailer, we will see... Not holding my breath, still have to mount the winch and it's kinda hot. He did say it was really dirty and I think he was being kind. Idle was also screwed in quite a bit to try and get it some fuel so maybe there is chance it runs half decent.

The Pig gods are looking down on me!

Just get in and drive. If it breaks rent a truck and trailer at Home depo 🙂

I’ve been reviewing F engine repair log. Looking at diagrams and for some reason I can’t figure out what goes here?

I just want to crank this puppy and get it started!

Can someone shed light as what goes here?

On my '74 that was for a hose to the Throttle Positioner...

Said screw it, pulled it out. Wife cranked it a few times while I manually choked it. Then it fired right up, purrs like a kitten and no smoke! It’s smoother than any cruiser I can recall having.

Would have loved to drive it around some but not going to push my luck.

Drove it up on trailer without any difficulty. I’d say it’s a good way to end the day! I’m pretty stoked right now.

Looks a little better than when I first saw it! Still sorry it took so long to get it to this stage. Anxious to see the result of the swap.

Nothing you did Jim, it's all behind us now. I hope to drive by body shop in town on way out in am. They work on classic cars mostly from what I can tell. Hope they can correct a few little things like painting Toyota on raised letters on tailgate which was supposed to be done and line up some lines on the very front under the grill.

Stage 2 for body swap almost complete. Will drop at shop here in Tulsa after work.

Gathering tools and looking forward to getting this done and letting the real fun start reconnecting everything once back home.
