Has anyone purchased and used the polished door handle assemblies for the 80 series. The non-US models have them and they look good. My paint is flaked on my 91 FJ80 restoration and I thought installing the polished ones would be a solution without painting mine. My 91 has all the stainless on the bumpers so I thought it might looks retro on my rig. I am sure my body shop could install them correctly without messing up my original patina'ed door paint.

My 96 LC has the Chrome Package. Chrome mirrors, door handles, brush guard, and wheels.
I like the chrome. Only the 96 came with this set option in the LC and it was only in black.
You can buy replacement parts through Partsouq, but the used parts are very hard to find because they were one year only and in one color only.
I'm only aware of a few of the chrome package trucks.
My chrome rims peeled and have gone away for the most part because they were horrible.
I took off the brush guard because of damage multiplier.

A year or so ago a local Toyota parts manager was able to order me a rear chrome door handle out of Japan, took a couple of weeks as I recall. I wanted a different "color" but those are all gone, only part left was chrome. Figured I might be able to strip the chrome off or paint over it. FWIW
You can get chrome door handles from the dealer. The Roseville Toyota/corporate website has them. I installed new front door Door Handles to replace my melted gaskets. Install was some what simple. Hope that helps.
