The Mount Pleasant Christmas parade this year will be on Sunday, December 13th.

More details to follow.

Please plan to ride.

I need an aprox vehicle count.

Chime in if are going to participate in the Mt Pleasant Christmas parade. We had a good time last year hanging around waiting for the start, dressing up our rides and then rolling slowly through Mt Pleasant.
I'm looking for a large blowup doll for my roof like Brock's.

We also met at the end for pizza and beer!

Not so good news today.

As of right now, we are on a waiting list. They only allow 110 entries (??)

I'll call tomorrow and see if we are next or 20 or so down the line.

I'll let you know when I find out

I know where we can get a 64 Lincoln with suicide doors if they don't let us in. :cool:

OK, I got an e-mail today and we are # 11 on the waiting list.

I'm not sure what this means, as they have never had a list before.

If we do get to ride, I'm guessing it would be a last minute thing.

We should go ahead and plan a meeting for Saturday the 12th.

Any suggestions??

sounds good to me...

talked to Jamie at Sparks today...he may be close to sealing deal on an FZJ80 of his own to drive in parade if it happens.

I just need one afternoon to rig lights and get the grinch out of storage...LOL

Why not do a 13th Sunday meeting just in case we get called up.
 
That's actually a better idea, Dave...My group usually meets at Wild Wings in Moultrie Shopping Center, but it's hard to get out afterwards. Thats right across from the judging stand.
We would have to get there by 2:00 to get in and eat.

That is, of course, if we were planning on watching the parade.
If not, we should stay away from Mt. P.

Either way works for me.

if nothing else we can have a meeting....or we can get all lit up and stuff minus the blowups on top....meet somewhere in James Island and all go single file through the James ISland Christmas Lights and then eat together somewhere afterwards....Athens, Buffalo South, Sonic...etc.
 
What say we meet at Kickin' Chicken on highway 17 in Mt. Pleasant about 1:00

I'll email the town now to see if anything has changed and get back as soon as I hear
