My folks live in Oracle and my cousin runs a ranch in Redington. Is this trail off the Redington Pass Road? Next time I visit I'd like to run the trail with my FJC...

Yes it is, TREAD LIGHTLY NFS is going to be patroling and handing out fines if they find anyone off the trail, they are also going to be posting signs which we hope will deter people from travel on this area. It's off of Bellota ranch rd. Trying to organize an annual cleanup event w/ the Copper State Cruisers to take care of this area (and reddington pass, chiva included)@ the end of January, anyone is welcome to join. It's our responsibility as OHV users to educate people, and help keep these wonderful trails open. Just heard 2 days ago, after my public forum apology:o , that forest service legislature will be changing there offroad policies, so let's get out and do our part. If your using a trail, bring trashbags and insist that people traveling w/ you also clean up, if we all picked up some trash, there wouldn't be any. Then the enviromentalists would have no backing to there cause(closing these awesome trails we all enjoy, and love) Let's change the way people view OHV users. KEEP OUR TRAILS BEAUTIFUL, LET'S DO OUR PART:cheers:
