Hi guys (and girls), I'm Dan (DBAX) Swislow and I'm the current presidente of the AZXC, er, Arizona XTERRA Club. We're throwing a little CHILI Cookoff in ENCANTO PARK on Saturday the 24th, from 10-5pm. It'll be the XTERRA club and also our buds from SWANKy (SouthWest Area Nissan Klub (and 'Yots)). C'mon out and meet some folks you only ever see on a trail, enjoy the park, and eat some (hopefully) good chili. We'll have modded Gen1 and Gen2 Xterras, Frontiers, and Pathys, we'd like to see some AZ LC action too.
I'm working on a beer permit.. C'mon, it's CHILI!
We'll have some swag to raffle, and we're also gathering donations for TOYS FOR TOTS, to be presented at the Annual FAT TIRE Bike Ride.
**Cooking Competition**
Be prepared to heat up your chili at the park and serve it to all who're there, to be judged by a select commitee. This isn't "chili league" rules, so your chili can be just beef or pork, both, meat and beans.. You can have tomatoes, peppers, and onions, whatever. Just as long as it's edible
So bust out your Coleman 2 burner, and fire up your best pot of red at the park and have some fun!
AZXC will supply all serving dishes and spoons for the chili, plus napkins. There'll even be fresh cornbread.
. We'll have waters too, bring your own sodapops if you'd like.
Post up here if you think you can make it, or in one of the related threads HERE, or HERE.
Hope to see ya' there.
