I purchased some chevy rotors #5568 from autozone and without looking at them took them home. Today I'm on my way to the machine shop and happen to look at the rotors and noticed that they were not solid cast, the center portion was steel. I took them back and asked for a better grade and was told that was the "gold line, the best autozone carries." Luckily car quest was next door. They carried the 5568 in solid cast as standard!
Great deal too at ~$32, only about $4 more than the autozone price
Sorry for the rambling, I guess my question is whether or not that was just that one product or has anyone noticed certain chains.....autozone, o'reillys, pep boys, advanced auto, napa, etc....that generally carry better products. I'm just curious because I got bad rotors and a bum master cylinder from autozones before I just got an 80s model 1 ton mini truck booster from advanced auto and am now worried that it may be s***
